MEDICAL SCRIBING
A medical scribe is an allied health paraprofessional who specialises in real-time charting of physician-patient encounters, such as during medical examinations. They also locate information and patients for doctors and fill out forms required for patient care.
Before appointments and procedures, they retrieve and prepare patient records for physicians. They accompany doctors on rounds and appointments, transcribing notes, observations, instructions, and other vital information. They collect and process test, procedure, and treatment orders.
Duties of a Medical Scribe includes :
