                          A medical scribe is a doctor's assistant who records the patient's family and medical histories, treatments, allergies, lab results, and any other information that the doctor dictates to them or that is pertinent to the patient's visit.

2. Accurately transcribe physician dictation into the patient's medical chart.

5. Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients. 
6. Review patient charts for accuracy and completeness before submitting them to physicians. 
7. Assist in providing patient education and answering patient questions. 
8. Follow hospital and department policies and procedures. 
9. Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
