MEDICAL SCRIBING
A medical scribe is a person with training in medical documentation who supports a doctor or other licensed health care provider by gathering data, including but not limited to nursing notes, patient medical records, laboratory results, and radiology tests, and by recording the patient's interaction with the professional in the patient's medical record.
Skills required for a Medical Scribe Job :
- Positivity, friendliness, and politeness are the most crucial qualities.
- Good judgement, Organisation, initiative, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
- Strong grammatical skills, the ability to multitask and type while listening.
- Great computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with EHR/EMR. Transcription expertise is a plus.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks software and medical coding (CPT and ICD-10) are preferred. basic understanding of clinical procedures, diagnostics, and medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication abilities.
- The capacity to perform duties and responsibilities in a methodical, efficient manner
